We draw a distinction between Natural building and Green building. All natural buildings are green but not all Green buildings are natural.

By natural building we are speaking to an aesthetic, which begins with the setting of the home on the land, how it nestles in the earth and it’s relationship to the sun and the elements. The Natural home is rooted in passive solar design and low -tech appropriate technologies utilizing solar day lighting and ventilation and heating systems which integrate the intrinsic thermal dynamics of nature.

We will be using industry standard wood frame construction combined with super insulation  energy efficiency. Homes at Neshobe farm will  also incorporate traditional natural building techniques such as earthen plasters, cob walls and straw bale construction on select homes
