WELCOME TO NESHOBE FARM
Sowing Seeds of Sustainable Community

Neshobe Farm Village is a planned residential community development situated on 103 acres of pastoral landscape in beautiful Brandon, Vermont. Founded on principles of integrated holistic arts and sustainable agriculture, the Neshobe Farm project is directed by Elemental Development, an ecologically considerate building group based in Northern California and Southern Vermont.

Elemental Development is planning to renovate and convert a historic Vermont farm into a sustainable community on the outskirs of the historic town of Brandon, Vermont, integrating diverse styles of elemental housing with the social, cultural and economic activities of organic agriculture and recreation.

The development will adhere to energy-efficient green building techniques and renewable energy technologies, in alignment with values of native wildlife preservation and ecological responsibility and with respect to the traditional vernacular aesthetic of Vermont. Organic agricultural programs and community facilities will be integrated within a beautifully designed, nature-conserving habitat. Designs will encourage hospitality, health, artistic expression and a nourishing, holistic lifestyle based on shared values of refuge, wisdom, and tradition.

The design programs, organizational guidance and founding of community agreements of Neshobe Farm Village seek to :

  • Interweave residential neighborhoods with organic agriculture while maintaining sensitivity and respect for the existing natural environment.
  • Encourage community participation in the design development process.
  • Facilitate community interaction and economic vitality by promoting viable cottage industry, health and wellness services, agricultural food cultivation, education and social enrichment events.

This site will be updated as the planning and development phases progress, so stay tuned...
